Aspiring voiceover
(16 seconds)
(23 seconds)
How much more could you achieve if you knew the secrets
of your favourite actor, the world’s greatest communicators
and leading voiceovers?
When you study the PSR™ Method,
you will be able to earn extra money recording radio and television
commercials as well as documentary narration, public information and
talking books in a business that has tremendous financial potential
in every country.
Just imagine how much more confident you would be at work, telephone sales
or face to face, job and promotional interviews, and socially (even when
you’re asked to give a wedding speech!)
We all know people who would make better progress in life if they had more
confidence. To be honest, I think we could all do with a bit more confidence
because it affects everything we do.
It’s all very well having a head full of knowledge and being ambitious,
but you need a professional technique to express your ideas even more confidently
and to be more persuasive. When you are more confident, your listener will
have more confidence in you.
And in those famous words from the musical South Pacific:
'If you don't have a dream,
how you gonna have a dream come true?'

Method can make
to your confidence - and the impact you make - in only a few hours!
My mistake is one of the best lessons you can learn
When I started, I was a stunt man and was working for one of the world’s
biggest advertising agencies,; J. Walter Thompson. One day the casting director
asked me if I did voiceovers. Up to that point the closest I’d been
to doing a voiceover was shouting with fear when crashing a police car,
or being hit on the head with a sword when filming on the Golden Hind (not
the original – that would make me over 400 years old!).
He sent me to a studio in London’s’ Covent Garden. The television
commercial was for Dunlop. I had no training; in fact I didn’t know
a microphone from a doorknob. Twenty minutes later I walked from the studio
in a daze. It was a disaster!
I learned a very important lesson that day:
if you want to become a voiceover, a TV presenter or broadcaster,
you need a technique.
A good voice alone is not enough.
You need more than a good voice
I liked the idea of being a voiceover, but I needed
a technique. I did extensive research in the US and the UK. There was lots
of excellent advice and help, but no specific technique.
What I had hoped to find was something written out in black and white that
said, 'Whether you’re recording a voiceover, reading the news, giving
a sales pitch, or making a speech, here are the rules for speaking so you
get your point across confidently and above all persuasively.'
Surprisingly, there wasn’t one! Over the next few years, I created the PSR™
Method, a technique, based on my experience as an international corporate trainer
and my training at the Royal National Theatre. The PSR™ Method is the only
technique in the world for voiceovers and corporate presentations.
That was several years ago, and since then I have earned a small fortune, travelled
all over the world and enjoyed every minute!
If you are a beginner, the PSR™ Method will make a dramatic difference
to the way you communicate, whether you’re reading or talking.
If you are a trained actor, the PSR™ Method will give you more confidence
and put you in complete control of any script, and will help you at auditions.
Just have a look at this survey…
When words are delivered by someone trained in the PSR™ Method,
83% of information will be retained by the listener.
If the same words are delivered by an untrained voice,
retention can drop to 43% or even lower!
